We are currently seeking a Tax Administrative Intern to join our Louisville, KY office.

The Tax Administrative Intern supports the tax department by performing essential administrative and clerical tasks during tax season. This role is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in a professional tax environment, with a focus on document management and process support.

Position Details:

  • Sorting and Scanning Workpapers:
     Organize, sort, and scan individual tax workpapers and client documents, ensuring all materials are accurately categorized and stored in both physical and digital formats.
  • Assembling Tax Returns:
     Assist in the assembly of completed tax returns, including collating supporting documents and preparing packets for client delivery or electronic filing.
  • Scanning K-1s:
     Scan and file K-1 forms and other tax-related documents as directed, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • General Administrative Support:
     Perform miscellaneous administrative duties such as copying, filing, data entry, and assisting with mailings or document distribution.
  • Quality Control:
     Double-check scanned documents for clarity and completeness and verify that all required paperwork is included in assembled returns.
  • Team Collaboration:
     Work closely with administrative team members to ensure timely and efficient workflow and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic office equipment (scanners, copiers).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
