Position Overview

The Vice President, Business Enablement is a strategic leader driving operational excellence through an end-to-end operating model. This role leads process mapping across the Americas, identifying governance gaps and efficiency opportunities. As a change agent, ensure improvements are implemented and sustained. Partnering with Americas Operations builds strong cross-functional relationships to advance process improvement. They oversee program management for initiatives like ILOM and launch new efforts to support regional goals. The role ensures disciplined execution, effective change adoption, and clear communication across stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Operating Model: Design, communicate, and continuously refine the Americas Operating Model across people, process, and technology to support strategic alignment and operational excellence.
  • Transformation Communications: Creates multi-level communications to ensure awareness and visibility of initiatives supporting the operating model. Translates technical and abstract concepts into business-relevant language for business leaders and executives. Ensure operating model and associated processes are updated and maintained to ensure relevance and alignment with Americas and RGA Strategy.
  • Program management: Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution. Develops and implements resource plans to meet project requirements and priorities, and engages and manages external vendor relationships as needed. Develops and implements plans to address any skill gaps.
  • Process optimization: Oversees the successful execution of key Americas operational processes: development, monitoring, and reporting of goals; Creation and analysis of performance through metrics, and reporting of performance.
  • Change management: Exhibit strong change management leadership to ensure deliberate incorporation of change management principles across strategic efforts, partner with OCM resources as needed. Oversee development and distribution of all operations strategy-related communications, within Americas, while complying with approved corporate brand, positioning, messaging, style, and voice; partner with Corporate Communications as needed.
  • Cross functional collaboration: Partner with technology, human resources, corporate communications, and business leaders across Americas to ensure operating model including technology, people, and process are aligned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Finance, Actuarial, Business or equivalent experience required
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) preferred
  • 10+ Years years of progressive leadership experience in operations, process improvement, or business transformation roles required
  • 2+ Years experience in insurance industry preferred
  • People management experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to negotiate commitments. Works effectively across organizational and geographic boundaries. Responds promptly and effectively to stakeholder issues and escalations. Adept at navigating through conflict. Exhibits high level of candor and courage in difficult situations and can make the tough call. required
  • Adept at integrating personal delivery with collaborative delivery with executives, leaders, and peers; provides the “heavy lift” where needed to achieve results, while holding self and collaborators accountable to delivering on commitments. required
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-level transformation initiatives with the ability to balance strategic vision with disciplined execution required
  • Advanced knowledge of data and technology management practices and methodologies required
  • Advanced knowledge of Process Mapping Tools: Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process documentation platforms required
  • Advanced knowledge of Change Management practices required
  • Advanced level of influencing skills, able to lead and motivate without direct reporting relationships, able to negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view required
  • Highly advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey difficult concepts using appropriate business terminology that is meaningful and well-received required
  • Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines required
  • Project Management Professional Certification (or comparable certification) preferred
  • Advanced certifications in relevant areas such as: Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt; Project Management Professional (PMP); Change Management certification (Prosci, etc.); Lean Management certification preferred

Compensation Range:

$146,950.00 - $218,950.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
