Program Assistant - Young Fives Aide en Cedar Springs Public Schools

This position is a temporary, Young Fives Aide, designed to cover an overage situation for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year or until there no longer is an overage.  This aide will provide academic support for approximately 2 hours in each Young Fives classroom.

 4.5 hours per day (8:45am-1:45pm) with a 15-minute paid break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• • High School Graduate
  • Evidence of skills with behavior management
  • Demonstrates dependability and promptness
  • Understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children
  • Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited
  • Ability to work outside during all seasons
  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, etc for 3+ consecutive hours

WHO ARE WE?

Cedar Springs Public Schools is a Preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,000 students and nearly 400 employees.  We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus.
