Works with stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations) to understand their requirements and to explore and monitor trends in the businesses performance.
Conducts gap analysis and provides strategic insights to operations teams relative to performance across different business areas in order to adapt individual and team plans and to address resource and operational challenges.
Acts as a point of reference and resource for Metrics, Analytics and Reporting analysts, providing advice and direction regarding the appropriate courses of action to take in relation to reporting, and technical data manipulation issues.
Utilizes knowledge of insurance and data handling, works with business colleagues to analyze data sets to support business improvement and business strategy projects.
Participates in business’ strategy planning efforts and translates high level strategies into departmental strategies and ensures that metrics are appropriately aligned with business strategy and initiatives.
Leads projects of moderate complexity within the department, working with colleagues within Business Analytics and IT to develop and continuously improve the reporting infrastructure, including data housing, data modeling, report performance, and report design and delivery tools.
Promotes, maintains and develops a network of effective relationships with contacts, both internal and external to build professional relationships, understand stakeholder issues, resolve problems and review working practices.
Trains, coaches and manages Metrics, Analytics and Reporting analysts, including conducting regular performance check-ins to ensure the continued growth of the capacities of the team.
