- Minimum 3 years’ experience in education, social work, counseling, adult education, tutoring, professional development, partnership development, volunteer programming, community engagement and/or social services preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community relations, enrollment management, marketing or public engagement – preferably within a public education environment
- Work collaboratively with team members within and beyond the communications and community engagement division to design, implement and evaluate effective outreach and marketing for campuses, programs and the district.
- Serve as the primary liaison for neighborhood civic associations, real estate professionals, relocation services, local developers and corporate human resources teams to ensure two-way sharing of information that fosters interest in and support for the district’s schools and programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective families, community and business leaders, PTAs and Booster Clubs and community-based organizations to understand community trends and family preferences when selecting their children’s educational setting of choice
- Represent the district at community events, neighborhood association meetings, and other local gatherings to share information and promote the district and our schools
- Coordinate family outreach initiatives, including open houses, new family welcome events, and community information sessions
- Conduct focus groups of current and prospective families to deepen district leadership’s understanding of what families are seeking for their children’s education
- Conduct and analyze research and leverage data analytics tools to identify enrollment trends and patterns, community informational needs, program gaps, and opportunities across feeder patterns
- Build partnerships to enhance school recruitment and support campus leaders in executing localized marketing and engagement strategies that attract and retain families
- Collaborate closely with the Directors of Communications and Community Engagement to craft clear, persuasive, data-informed differentiated messaging and campaigns that highlight district and campus strengths and counter information about vouchers, charter, and private school alternatives. Position SBISD as a strong, competitive option for families and ensure enrollment initiatives align with district marketing and brand positioning.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of school- and district-level outreach, marketing, recruitment and engagement efforts using data and community feedback against key performance metrics; align findings with district trends to refine strategies and strengthen overall positioning

- Partner with administrators and school leaders to align messaging and outreach with programmatic priorities, choice program windows, and district initiatives.

| Primary Purpose: | The Community Engagement and Outreach Facilitator will serve as a key strategic connector between Spring Branch ISD and its current and prospective families, community partners, and civic and community-based organizations. The individual will leverage strong analytical skills to identify trends in student demographics and tactics to reach prospective families. They will collaborate cross-functionally with communications, technology, administrative and campus teams to develop and implement targeted outreach and enrollment strategies and initiatives, messaging, collateral materials events and other means of promoting SBISD campuses, programs and the district at large. Working closely with the Directors of Communications and Community Engagement, and Associate Superintendent for Communications and Community Engagement, this individual will ensure the district’s enrollment efforts are informed by real-time data, grounded in community relationships, and aligned with SBISD’s strategic goals. As SBISD aims to be the district of choice in the Greater Houston area, this individual will help lead efforts to counter voucher, charter and private school competition and will play a key role in the district’s strategic marketing and engagement functions and initiatives to drive student enrollment growth and retention. | |
