Veterinary Surgical Centers is searching for a dynamic Practice Manager to support our specialty and surgical hospitals (on-site) in Leesburg and Vienna, VA.  
 
At our Rarebreed hospital, we are reimagining the veterinary experience in our community, providing advanced services—including surgery, internal medicine, and neurology—and the added advantage of sharing space with other specialty partners. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants the opportunity to influence hospital operations, shape team culture, and grow alongside a high-performing medical team. We are open to hiring a multi-site leader or a single-site manager for both/either locations, depending on your strengths and leadership experience.  
 
In this role, you’ll work closely with engaged operational leaders and have the support of Rarebreed’s Support Team—experienced partners who provide resources and guidance while empowering you to lead with autonomy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations , you’ll oversee daily operations, strengthen team communication, support financial performance, and ensure an exceptional client and patient experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO  
  • Lead hospital culture, communication, and team engagement 
  • Support staffing, scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management 
  • Oversee client experience, patient flow, and accurate medical record documentation 
  • Maintain hospital operations, inventory, OSHA compliance, and workflow 
  • Track financial performance, support budgeting, and ensure charge accuracy 
  • Partner with marketing and operations to support hospital growth

REQUIREMENTS   
  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing or operational role with proven leadership skills 
  • Strong people management, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical setting and manage multiple priorities 
  • Flexibility for evenings/weekends and hands-on hospital support 
  • Veterinary or healthcare experience a plus! 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and typing 
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and fine motor skills for administrative and operational tasks 
  • Animal allergies must be managed with medication 
  • Must follow the hospital dress code, including professional attire or scrubs
