Position Summary:
The Market Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for driving growth and profitability across a designated market area. This role oversees branch operations, leads and coaches a high-performing team, and builds strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations. The Market Manager is a key ambassador of the bank’s brand, ensuring exceptional customer experience and strategic market expansion.
Essential Responsibilities
Market Growth & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share and increase revenue.
- Conduct outbound calling to local businesses to identify new opportunities and deepen existing relationships.
- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver tailored financial solutions to commercial clients.
Branch Oversight & Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations of one or more branches within the market.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop branch managers and staff to achieve individual and team goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
Community Engagement
- Represent the bank at local events, business forums, and community initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations.
- Promote financial literacy and inclusion through outreach programs and educational workshops.
Competencies & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in retail banking, sales, or financial services.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving results.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
