Homeoffice Business Solutions Engineer Principal en SAIC

SAIC IS seeking a dynamic and skilled Power Platform Specialist with strong expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, who can also seamlessly support business requirements gathering and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of data visualization, application development, business processes, automation, and database management, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. Candidates must be U.S Citizens. This role can be worked remotely for the right candidate. This role is contingent on obtaining an interim secret clearance. 

Key Responsibilities:

Power Platform Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop custom applications using Power Apps to solve business problems and enhance productivity.
• Create and manage automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft and third-party applications.
• Lead group discussions for solutioning and design to ensure comprehensive and effective solutions.

 

Business Requirements Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct business process analysis and identify areas for improvement.
• Partner with project managers and technical teams to ensure that requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create workflows, use cases, process maps, and other documentation to support project delivery.

 

Database Support:

• Design, implement, and maintain database solutions to support Power Platform applications.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data security and integrity.
• Provide database administration, including backup, restoration, and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with Power Platform tools.

 

Support and Maintenance:

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Power Platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in Power Platform and database technologies.

 

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and are free of defects.
• Participate in peer reviews of other team members’ work to maintain high quality standards.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement based on testing and review findings.

 

Training and Collaboration:

• Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and stakeholders to ensure effective use of Power Platform solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to promote the adoption of Power Platform solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience. Masters Degree and 7 years of experience
• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
• Candidates must have an Interim Secret Clearance before joining.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working with data analytics and visualization.
• Proven experience in business analysis, process improvement, and requirements documentation.
• Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in DAX, M, SQL, and other relevant languages.
• Experience leading group discussions for solutioning and design.
• Experience in database support and administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Azure services and other Microsoft 365 tools.
• Experience in agile project management methodologies.
