About Us:

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is seeking a dynamic Vice President to lead our Digital Lending Platform team in Mumbai, India. This role will focus on home loans, securities based lending, and tailored lending, managing a team of associates who serve as product owners in these areas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving larger end-to-end initiatives and managing associated risks.

Position Summary

• Lead a team in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, designing cutting-edge technology solutions for our clients and internal teams.
• Develop innovative products with competitive advantages that transform how clients manage and utilize their financial resources.
• Collaborate with technology, business, and control partners to define and document requirements.
• Conduct end-user research and leverage data analysis to inform product requirements and wireframe design.
• Present findings and project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Oversee Agile product management teams, working closely with design, research, technology, legal, and compliance teams to drive decision-making across cross-functional groups.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, risk, technology, and operations, to enhance processes and streamline lending product workflows.
• Address and resolve technical issues or system errors within the lending pricing platform.

Experience

• 10+ years of professional experience in technology product management and design.
• 7+ years of experience in wealth management, retail banking, and/or consumer financial technology.
• Expertise in lending products.
• Proven experience in building complex internal systems, focusing on underwriting, credit risk management, or pricing.
• Proficiency in software business analysis.
• BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.

• Extensive experience in consumer technology, banking, wealth management, and/or top-tier consulting.
• Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical aspects.
• Focus on usability with a keen eye for design.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
• Proactive initiative and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to define and evaluate alternatives, translating goals into specific project tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation capabilities.
• High sense of ownership and accountability for work.
• Adaptability to change and evolving business needs.
• Ability to quantify business problems and measure the benefits of technology solutions.
