As a Senior Analyst, International Tax you will implement processes to mitigate tax risks from global operations through transfer pricing and foreign tax reporting obligations. Your goal will be to support foreign tax provision computations, prepare foreign income tax compliance, forecast tax outcomes, and coordinate responses to foreign tax audits. Your success will depend on your ability to manage stakeholder relationships and contribute effectively within a large in-house tax group comprising Canadian, U.S., and international tax professionals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review foreign tax provision (IFRS/FRS 102)and note disclosures
  • Coordinate and review workpapers for foreign corporate income tax filings with external service providers and prepare Canadian foreign affiliate information returns as required.
  • Support Country-by-Country and Pillar Two reporting processes and related compliance activities
  • Conduct tax research and draft technical memos to support positions and planning initiatives
  • Prepare monthly tax reconciliations, forecasts, and periodic installment calculations for approval
  • Monitor and interpret transfer pricing and foreign tax legislation, particularly in Ireland and the UK
  • Analyze cross-border intercompany transactions and ensure alignment with transfer pricing strategies
  • Prepare annual transfer pricing documentation, including Master and Local files
  • Support the resolution of tax disputes by responding to queries from tax authorities
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and support tax planning outcomes and other initiatives as required

Your Experience:  

  • CPA designation is required, though candidates with an undergraduate degree and equivalent tax and accounting experience may be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years in accounting and 2–3 years in tax, with strong knowledge of IAS 12 and tax compliance processes
  • Experience with financial reporting and tax provision software, transfer pricing principles, and background in oil, gas, or commodities sectors are considered assets
