Description
Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Psychiatric Nurse in the Medical Department at the Monroe County Jail located in Rochester, NY.
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, 8:00am-4:30pm. Hourly rate: $43.00-46.00.
Job Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the mental health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures. Other responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the PCM mental health liaison between the medical unit, facility staff, and psychiatric/psychological services outside the facility.
- Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients in forensic and community Mental Health facilities.
- Monitors all psychiatric/psychological services provided.
- Monitor the standards of care in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/ psychological standards.
- Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
- Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.

Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
- Clinical decision-making ability is required
