The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join Stockland as Head of Operational Risk and Compliance. This is a pivotal role within our Group Legal & Risk Division, reporting to the Group Risk Officer (GM, Group Risk). You’ll lead a high-performing team and shape the strategy for operational risk and compliance across the organisation, ensuring our frameworks are robust, effective, and aligned with best practice.

 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for Operational Risk and Compliance.
  • Oversee compliance programs across key areas such as managed investment schemes, real estate licensing, trust accounting, privacy, consumer law, and organisational resilience.
  • Lead incident and breach management processes, providing insights on root causes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage internal audit programs for safety matters and strengthen internal controls across the business.
  • Embed compliance policies and promote a strong risk culture across first and second lines.
  • Implement education, training, and awareness programs for operational risk and compliance.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external advisers, including regulatory authorities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers and analysts to deliver successful business outcomes.
