Test Analyst en RPMGlobal

About the Role

RPMGlobal (RPM) is seeking a Software Test Engineer with experience in testing complex applications. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Brisbane CBD headquarters. This position is in-office, however, it does allow for ad-hoc working from home.

You will contribute to the quality and reliability of RPMGlobal’s advanced mine planning software that is used by mining professionals worldwide to design, evaluate, and optimize mining strategies. These products combine geological data, engineering logic, and powerful algorithms to help clients make informed decisions across diverse mining environments. Your work will ensure the accuracy, performance, and usability of products that underpin billions of dollars in resource planning.

RPM is the market leader in enterprise solutions from mine planning to execution. We have the most advanced scheduling tools in the industry, along with the leading simulation, costing, and execution solutions for both mining production and equipment maintenance, all built on our Enterprise Planning Framework.  

Our software helps provide the raw materials needed to manufacture the products that enable the modern world, including lithium for batteries, steel, alloys, aluminum, and copper for electricity generation and transmission.  

This is an opportunity for a smart, innovative, self-motivated Test Analyst to join a distributed team of like-minded people who develop world-class software using a practical, agile based modern development methodology certified to ISO 9001. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across application modules
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools and processes
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of QA practices

About You

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, ideally in complex desktop or engineering applications
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia

Highly Regarded (not required)

• Experience in the mining industry
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments
• Contributions to large-scale enterprise software projects
• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
