The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with strong built form and commercial project management experience to join our Halcyon Land Lease Communities team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a hands-on role in delivering lifestyle villages for over 50s across Victoria, including clubhouses, recreational facilities, and high-quality built form elements.

 

This role offers a combination of design, procurement, financial and active site involvement, making it ideal for someone with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction background who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to take direction as they progress their career.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely outcomes
  • Manage daily site activities, inspections, and defect resolution
  • Drive cost efficiencies through procurement, financial forecasting and reporting
  • Coordinate contractors and consultants to achieve construction milestones
  • Oversee contract administration and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and approval authorities
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks
  • Champion HS&E standards and support sustainable development practices

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering built form projects such as apartments, hotels, student accommodation, clubhouses, or medium-density housing ideally within tier 1 or 2 construction
  • Strong commercial acumen with capability in procurement, financial forecasting and reporting
  • Hands-on approach with confidence managing site activities and coordinating contractors
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve milestones while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field
