We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing team. We see a verity of work-related injuries, provide surveillance testing and employment physical to ensure the health of employees across the nation.
Some duties could include:
Ø Assist in patient assessments and intake procedures. Appropriately documents information obtained.
Ø Perform clinical tasks including blood draws, injections, PFT and audiometric testing. You will travel the Northern Michigan area to conduct audiometric testing on site for employers.
Ø Become certified to perform DOT drug screen and breath alcohol testing.
Ø Administers vaccinations and TB skin test.
Ø Engages and helps promote patient education as appropriate
Ø Assist with administrative task including scheduling appointments, reporting out results.
What’s Required:
CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
- BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
- One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare.
- BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
