Where you’ll work…
At our facility in Jefferson, WI, you’ll join a dedicated group of team members who take pride in their work and contribute to Palermo’s reputation for excellence. The facility operates across multiple shifts to keep our delicious pizzas moving from the line to the table — and you’ll be part of the team that makes it all happen.
You’ll be part of a hands-on, fast-paced production setting where teamwork and reliability are essential. The environment can vary from cooler temperatures to ambient conditions, depending on the area of the plant. Noise levels can be moderate to loud, and the role involves regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
At Jefferson, you’ll join a team that takes pride in craftsmanship and innovation — working together to produce pizzas that bring families and friends together across the country.
What you’ll do…
- Set up and adjust production line equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machine malfunctions and equipment issues.
- Partner with Maintenance Technicians to perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in training and evaluating operators on proper machine setup and adjustments.
- Maintain documentation, maintenance logs, and performance metrics for equipment.
- Follow safety and food safety standards while performing all duties.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance line performance and minimize downtime.
What you’ll bring…
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of mechanical or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and drive systems.
- Experience working with packaging or pizza topping machinery preferred.
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Mechanical or maintenance-related certifications preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret machine prints, technical manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and work in varying temperatures (freezer to hot environments).
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
