NAFI Connecticut Inc. is a multi-service agency offering a wide range of residential, programming consultation, and personalized support to youth, families, and adults across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island. With unique services designed for each state, we provide trauma-informed care and community-based youth programs in Connecticut, comprehensive family support and residential services for at-risk youth in New York, and targeted mental health services and crisis intervention in Rhode Island and so much more. Across all three states, our goal is to empower individuals and strengthen families.

We are exploring highly skilled and dynamic Regional Director to join our Executive Leadership Team. This position provides strategic and administrative oversight of a diverse portfolio of programs and services across Connecticut. As a key member of a tri-state leadership team (CT, RI, NY), the Regional Director plays an essential role in shaping and advancing the agency’s mission and goals.

The ideal candidate is a visionary and collaborative leader with demonstrated expertise in program development, clinical services, and financial management. This individual will foster innovation, ensure quality outcomes, and promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and partnership across the Connecticut region and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing leadership and direction for all Connecticut programs and operations.
• Driving strategic growth and sustainability initiatives aligned with NAFI’s mission.
• Ensuring high standards of clinical quality, compliance, and fiscal accountability.
• Supporting and developing strong leadership teams and staff across multiple service areas.
• Collaborating with state and community partners to expand and enhance service delivery.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position within the social service field; Advanced degree, licensed, residential experience preferred.
  • Exemplary leadership traits and skills; ability to inspire, motivate, guide and train teams, managers and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate operations within a clinical/child welfare setting
  • Social Work/Clinical experience with youth and families; knowledge of evidenced based programming
  • Leadership skills, including mediation, problem solving, decision making, delegation
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written including effective public speaking
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, staff, community groups and individuals, and other related agencies.
  • Effectively manages competing demands in high energy environments
  • Knowledge and respect of the diverse culture and life-styles
  • Experience and knowledge of Council on Accreditation (COA) is a plus
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
