The role you’ll contribute

 

The Certified Medical Assistant I is responsible for providing appropriate care to patients under general supervision. This position greets patients, obtains clinical, financial, and demographic information, and assists providers during treatment and examination. In addition, this position may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. This role performs office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments.

  • Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
  • Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
  • Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
  • Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results.

  • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
  • Basic Life Support- CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) [Required] OR
  • American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) [Required] OR
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT) [Required] OR
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) [Required] OR
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA) [Required] OR
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NCRMA)[Required]
