Job Description: 
We are looking for a machinist to join our team at AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Enrolled or completed machinist apprenticeship program or 2 years of work experience.
Good working knowledge of common machining practices is required to insure safe and efficient machine operation. 
Ability to read formal and informal drawings and to manufacture all parts to the tolerances specified. 
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
 

Job Description: 

Program, set-up, and operation of all machines including, but not limited to: CNC machining centers, CNC turning centers, engine lathes, turret lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and saws. 
All routine maintenance is to be performed by the machinist to insure safe and proper operation of the equipment. 
Occasionally duties may vary from the above as deemed necessary by business conditions
Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws efficiently and safely
Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, saws, and general machine shop equipment efficiently and safely
Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and comprehend work orders
Clean modern shop
Daylight postilion
