About the Role:
This position leads a team of drivers providing services to Columbine communities and manages the vehicle fleet. As a Transportation Manager, you will:
Dispatch drivers, manage schedule changes, and communicate with facilities and drivers.
Maintain excellent customer service and professional appearance.
Ensure best practices for safety in loading and unloading residents.
Investigate customer and public complaints, vehicle accidents, and policy violations.
Plan, assign, and direct work, including creating and managing schedules and time sheets.
Interview, hire, train, coach, discipline, and terminate team members.
Monitor vehicle conditions, place work orders for maintenance, and ensure cleanliness and safety.
Manage all expenses and budget for the department.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Must be at least 25 years of age.
Must have a current driver's license and meet driving record standards.
1+ years of related experience is preferred.
Skills:
Proficient skills in Microsoft Word & Excel & software used to create schedules.
Ability to operate the vehicle safely under various road conditions, adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
Efficiently plan routes and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to use GPS and/or maps to navigate unfamiliar routes and find optimal paths.
Accuracy in maintaining transportation logs, mileage records, and tracking residents.
Ability to interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
