Description

Job Purpose:
- We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and financial planning functions of our fast-growing manufacturing and distribution company in the plant nutrient industry. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for daily accounting operations and forward-looking financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and drive financial efficiency.

Qualifications


Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory position within a financial department.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
