Responsibilities
Supports the planning and delivery of course content by coordinating logistics, entering class schedules in the enrollment management system, and ensuring smooth program operations. provides support and advice to students on course options that meet their needs and recognizes training needs to design and implement new classes in those areas.
Maintains day-to-day operations for a portfolio of on-site, online, and hybrid workshops, courses, and programs including course development and implementation, technology and classroom coordination, participant support, and reporting.
Monitors enrollment and implements outreach strategies to maximize registration and minimize cancellations.
Develops and maintains a portfolio of relevant, in-demand classes, in-demand programs that align with community and workforce needs;. phases out offerings that no longer serve the college community.
Identifies and develops new programs that support living-wage careers and alight with employer-identified skills and credentials.
Provides program participants with information on funding opportunities, including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), internal and external grants and scholarships, and payment plans; Seeks additional funding sources to enhance student success and program growth.
Stays informed about all CE offerings and industry in areas such as Technology, Business, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
Ensures students have a positive experience at every phase of their training with CE, including registration, course completion, and ongoing communications.
Represents CE at events, meetings, and community activities to promote programs and recruit students (some evening and weekend participation required).
Participates in the development of ongoing class schedules with a specific focus on classes for business and technology skills.
Identifies, recruits, and recommends qualified instructors for hire.
Responds to student inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service.
Ensures compliance with college safety policies and procedures, clearly communicating and reinforcing expectations among staff and students.
Provides the marketing team with accurate and timely information to promote and advertise classes and programs.
Coordinates ordering of books, supplies, and equipment, ensuring materials are purchased, stored securely, and available to students and/or instructors as needed.
Participates in campus committees and training programs as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature. Evening and weekend hours required.
