Job Description: The Dobbs Ferry School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Special Education Teacher Aide. The successful candidate has proven experience working with students with special needs. Effective November 19, 2025, 2025, this is a full-time probationary/permanent civil service position. Salary commensurate with experience and on par with the CSEA Clerical, Teacher Aide/Teaching Assistant contract. Additional compensation in the amount of $4.00 per hour for toileting duties. Description:
Under general supervision of a certified teacher or school administrator, responsible for performing non-instructional duties to assist certified teachers in a classroom setting. Duties may vary depending upon student-specific needs.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; is regularly required to climb, squat, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl; to reach above the head and reach forward; is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls, and to talk and hear; is occasionally required to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
