Receive direction, oversight, tasking and technical direction from the PTEN-D Section chief to design, deploy, operate and sustain the PTEN-D network environment in support of the Joint Exercise Program (JEP). Plan, coordinate, and execute modernization activities aligned with DoD Zero Trust and Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance goals. Assist in development and implementation of procedures for PTEN-D operational readiness, cybersecurity posture and integration with RJTI nodes. Manage lifecycle planning for hardware, software, and network components supporting unclassified and classified exercises. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelors and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Networking technologies, Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, Wireless Networks, Type 1 Encryption, Software Defined Networking, Firewalls, VPN, and securing networks.

  • Working knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), best cybersecurity practices and emerging Zero Trust requirements.

  • Foundational knowledge of cloud and cloud technology.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP, CISSP etc.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES:

  • Active SECRET clearance required at start. Must be able to obtain a full TS/SCI Clearance

  • Must be a current US Citizen
