AMETEK/SkyBitz is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to join our growing team. This is a remote-based, outside sales “hunter” role focused on developing new business across the Southwest region for SkyBitz Fleets.

 

The ideal candidate will live in the Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; or Atlanta, Georgia metro area and has a proven track record of building territory from the ground up, cultivating C-suite and operational relationships, and closing complex technology deals in the Fleets or Transportation Industries.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities in assigned region with a focus on expanding SkyBitz’s footprint in assigned territory.
  • Develop a territory sales plan targeting prospects,using a mix of outbound calling, networking, and onsite visits.
  • Lead the full sales cycle — from initial outreach and discovery to proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing and inside sales teams to generate pipeline through digital campaigns, events, and lead generation programs.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans, and activity reports in Salesforce CRM.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, demonstrating how SkyBitz’s IoT platform delivers measurable ROI through improved asset visibility, delivery optimization, and reduced operational costs.
  • Represent SkyBitz at industry trade shows, regional conferences, and customer events.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in B2B technology, SAAS, telematics, industrial IoT, or equipment monitoring.
  • Demonstrated success in hunter-style sales roles — consistently exceeding quotas and building new territories.
  • Knowledge of Fleet Operations and Supply Chain Optimization.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with executive-level buyers.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.
  • Candidate must be based in the Dallas, TX, Houson, TX, or Atlanta, GA metro area.
