ABOUT THE CHUBB SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 

The internship program provides students with a well-rounded knowledge of the insurance industry in a practical environment. Students can expect to gain industry knowledge and hands-on experience while building professional relationships. Our summer training program offers you the opportunity to explore career paths in insurance while developing underwriting, leadership, and personal effectiveness skills. As part of this program, you will receive:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

Our summer internship program offers the chance to have practical, real-world experience at one of the world’s leading P&C insurance companies. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on business specific projects where you will gain knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen your academic skills. As a Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Intern, your program will be tailored to our Property & Casualty discipline. You will shadow our Risk Consultants, develop skills that complement the role and directly contribute to organizational objectives. Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Consultants (PCREs) conduct evaluations that assist Chubb in overall risk selection and identify areas of risk improvement for our customer base. For those who excel in the program, we welcome the opportunity to discuss full-time employment opportunities at Chubb after graduation.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. The most popular in Risk Engineering include Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Architectural and Environmental; 

  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset;

  • Technical training in inspection, engineering, quality control or manufacturing is highly desirable as is experience with industrial, mechanical and electrical equipment;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Consultative, sales and marketing skills;

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts;

  • An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting technical information;

  • Strong PC skills including; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team;

  • Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and leadership skills;

  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills are required;

  • An ability to adapt to new ideas and situations;

  • An ability to develop creative approaches to solving customer problems;

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
