THE OPPORTUNITY

The Facilities Coordinator position forms part of the wider Maintenace team at Callide Power Station.


The role supports the work of the Facilities Management Supervisor to provide strategies, systems, processes and procedures to programs and services to achieve their objectives.


Your key duties will include:

  • Manage general works (Industrial and Domestic Cleaning, Waste Management and other non-Mechanical/Electrical Trades work) undertaken by contractors
  • key contact person in relation to property matters managed by contractors and work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure the premises exceed minimum standards
  • Work across disciplines and acts as the intermediary for all departments to ensure optimal results are achieved for the prosperity, safety and economic sustainability of CS Energy and all team members.
  • collating and finalising the program of works, mobilising contractors to site, ensuring the execution of the works before demobilising contractors to site this role requires exemplary interdepartmental communication, accurate and detailed record keeping and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst at all times adhering to safety requirements, quality standards and demonstrating CS Energy’s Code of Conduct and values.
  • Ensure safe, comfortable and maintained premises are available for the organisation’s workforce to undertake their activities
     

This is a full time, fixed term (12 months) opportunity at our Callide Power Station.

ABOUT YOU

Our preferred applicant for this position will most likely possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Trade Qualified – Mechanical/Electrical (advantageous).
  • Qualified Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (advantageous).
  • 5+ years’ experience in heavy industry
  • Project Management experience (advantageous)
  • SAP Works Management and Planning experience (advantageous)
  • Contractor commercial engagement and facilitation experience (advantageous)
  • Experience operating in a stringent Health, Safety and Environment organisation
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and the proven ability to effectively utilise SAP and MS Office package.
  • Proven ability to achieve desired results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Industrial plant essential with knowledge of Power Stations and Industrial plant advantageous.
  • Authorised Officer in Charge (OIC).
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet collective outcomes.
