Overview

Paladin Security is looking for dedicated and professional individuals to join our team as Campus Security Guards in Fairview, Alberta. This position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for licensed Alberta Security Guards and a great opportunity to begin or advance your career in the security industry.

As a key member of Canada’s leading security company, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security on campus, ensuring a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Apply decision-making and strong communication skills to all duties related to security and safety
• Ensure Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed at all times
• Follow site-specific Post Orders and instructions from Client Service Managers or Supervisors
• Undertake site-specific training and follow direction from leadership
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety of personnel, buildings, and equipment
• Monitor for safety infractions or hazards and report irregularities (e.g., security breaches, facility issues, emergencies)
• Offer assistance to any person in need of support or guidance
• Contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) when required
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications effectively
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to promoting workplace safety
• Motivate, support, and inspire co-workers

Requirements

• Must live within 45 minutes of Fairview
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle
• Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License
• Availability for a variety of shifts including overnight and weekends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service focus with professional demeanor
• Ability to write detailed reports and maintain site logs
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations
• Physically capable of walking 18–20 km and climbing stairs
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

• First Aid Level C plus AED certification
