Using state-of-the-art technology, Acromil, LLC in City of Industry, CA has been a primary supplier to the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industries of complex structural components and assemblies since 1959. Our Opportunity

The selected individual will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of CNC machinery and mechanical equipment.

Essential Duties

  • Ensures operation of state of the art 3 and 5 axis machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

 Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have 5 years of experience performing each essential duty listed above satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability also required.   • Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC and troubleshooting using PLC.
  • Proficiency in the use of micrometers, calipers, and related hand tools in metric and US units.
  • Trained in operation of forklifts, Cranes and skyjacks.
  • Basic knowledge of motion and industrial controls.
  • Experience with 120V, 240V and 480V single and 3 phase.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing 3 and 5 axis machines.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
