Position Overview: As an RV Body Shop Technician, your primary responsibility is to assess, estimate, prepare, and repair damage to recreational vehicles (RVs). This role may extend beyond these core duties to include additional tasks such as light prep technician work as required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation of Accessories: skillfully install various accessories onto RVs as per customer specifications or repair requirements.
- Performing final delivery inspections
- Use computerized and electronic devices to diagnose, test, and repair components of RVs, ensuring accurate and efficient troubleshooting.
- Communicate with supervisors to ensure timely, efficient preparation of recreational vehicles.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the overall operations of the RV body shop.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous Body shop experience preferred.
- Previous Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical related experience preferred.
Qualifications
To be successful in the trade, RV Body Shop Technicians need:
- Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground
- The ability to periodically lift in excess of 100 pounds
- Mechanical, electrical and electronics aptitude; troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Good communication, organizational and learning skills
- The desire to upgrade and learn new skills as technology advances
- The ability to work independently and as a team member
- Pride in workmanship and the desire to attain a superior level of expertise
- Desire to be challenged with a variety of tasks that are rarely repetitious in nature
