Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition and other family programs.

The Manager of the Resource Center is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of OKCIC’s food and social support services. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing staff and volunteers, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining community partnerships, and promoting access to nutritious food options that support the overall health and well-being of patients and families.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in patient services, program management, and community outreach — someone passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Directs employee performance management and provides ongoing education opportunities for staff members.
- Responsible for overall management of Resource Center staffing and scheduling.
- Implements, reviews, enters, and revises all relevant social service support policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with the clinic’s vision and mission, as well as with health and regulatory agency guidelines from The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- Coaches employees and handles corrective action as warranted, in accordance with policy.
- Attends and participates in leadership, departmental, and interdepartmental meetings (includes web and telephone as necessary).
- Communicates concerns to the clinic leadership (VP of Nursing and/or Director of Public Health) in a timely manner consistent with the magnitude of the situation.
- Oversee daily operations of the food pantry, including intake, distribution, inventory management, and documentation.
- Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, and social services teams to identify patients who would benefit from nutrition support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with food banks, local grocers, farms, and community organizations to ensure a steady supply of healthy food.
- Implement food safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as healthcare infection control standards.
- Train, schedule, and supervise staff and volunteers; provide guidance on pantry operations, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centered service.
- Maintain accurate inventory, donation tracking, and data reporting for internal and external audits or grant requirements.
- Coordinate with Nutrition Services or Registered Dietitians to align pantry offerings with clinical nutrition goals and chronic disease prevention efforts.
- Support health education initiatives that promote healthy eating, food preparation, and chronic disease management.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through utilization rates and satisfaction surveys. Aims to improve the overall health of the communities we serve.
- Implements the clinic’s processes leading to quality outcomes as related to defined population health initiatives.
- Develop and maintain budgetary oversight, ensuring responsible use of donations, grants, and operational funds.
- Ensure the pantry environment meets safety, accessibility, and confidentiality standards for all patients and staff.
- Volunteers in our community-based programs.
- Manage the Warm and Fuzzy program for OKCIC.

Qualifications
- Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values.
- Associate's Degree in Business or related field
- Three (3) years of progressive medical leadership office and/or public health experience.
- Supervisory experience required: performance management and daily oversight of patient care.
- Preferred experience in tracking, trending, and analyzing clinical performance data.
- Skilled in collaborating on the integration of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational guidelines.
- Experienced in evaluating compliance with The Joint Commission and OSHA standards, as applicable.
- Prior experience working in or managing a food pantry or social service program in partnership with community organizations is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Google Suite.
- Must have a current Oklahoma driver’s license to transport patients as needed.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required in the first six months.
