As a Senior Software Engineer supporting the GALACTICTIDE Task, you’ll build automation tools and infrastructure solutions that strengthen and sustain HPC system operations. You’ll collaborate with a skilled technical team to simplify complex processes, improve system performance, and ensure operational readiness in a fast-paced Linux environment. • Schedule: Full-time, onsite

Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

• Develop and enhance automation tools supporting HPC system management and infrastructure software

• Write Bash and Python scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and sustainment operations

• Implement and maintain Ansible-based frameworks to orchestrate deployments and updates

• Perform troubleshooting and debugging within Linux-based operational systems

• Support CI/CD pipeline design and automation using GitLab CI and Jenkins

• Manage software builds, releases, and version control through Git

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process automation, system stability, and scalability

• Deliver efficient, maintainable code aligned with DevSecOps best practices

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience

• OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus seven (7) years of experience

• OR nine (9) years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity

Required Skills

• Linux command-line and system tools experience

• Bash scripting for automation and maintenance

• Python software development in production environments

• Automation with Ansible for orchestration and configuration

• Troubleshooting and debugging Linux-based systems

• CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab CI or Jenkins

• Source control management with Git

Desired Skills

• Datacenter Infrastructure Management (NetBox)

• Observability and analytics tools (Splunk)

• Identity and Access Management (Keycloak)

• Secret management tools (HashiCorp Vault)

• Messaging frameworks (Kafka)

• Containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, containerd)

• Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies

• Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 

*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
