Role:
The Youth Career Launch Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging, trauma-informed job readiness training to youth enrolled in the Pathways to Power program. This role supports participants in building core career skills in cohort cycles, including resume writing, workplace readiness skills, digital literacy, communication, and financial literacy. The Facilitator tracks youth progress and collaborates with the Career Navigator for coaching and referrals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead recruitment and outreach efforts for program enrollment

Facilitate virtual or in-person sessions 3 days/week

Lead instruction on career prep, life skills, and job search readiness

Support youth in developing resumes, cover letters, and interview skills

Maintain communication with community and workforce partners to support participant development and job connections

Proficient in using Illinois WorkNet and administering the Casey Life Skills assessment to support participant development.

Track session attendance and curriculum milestone completion

Incorporate SEL and trauma-informed facilitation practices

Collaborate with the Career Navigator on youth coaching and referrals

Organize guest speakers, employer panels, and career fairs

Position Type: Full-Time, Grant-Funded
Salary: $56,000
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or related field

3+ years of experience in youth case management, workforce development, or career coaching
-
Advanced knowledge of Illinois WorkNet and Casey Life Skills, including experience using these platforms to assess, track, and enhance participant progress.

Proficiency in Google Docs, Zoom, and digital learning tools

Strong facilitation, coaching, and documentation skills
-
Trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach
