Process Engineer en ECK INDUSTRIES INC

Description

Join the team at Eck Industries, a leader in aluminum casting and innovation for over 75 years. We’re looking for a Process Engineer who will launch new programs, implement process improvements and work to continuously improve casting quality.

What You’ll Do

• Design gating systems for new and existing jobs through the utilization of CAD modeling and simulation software.
• Work with customers, internal and external pattern shops, the engineering team, and other Eck personnel, as needed, to design and develop new tooling.
• Create new job process controls.
• Work with the production supervisors, and production workers to assess and refine production processes for each new job, any changes to existing jobs, or jobs that may develop casting defects.
• Provide feedback to the engineering team for further job review and analysis to improve job process instructions.
• Complete daily inspections on tools and equipment, filling out forms when required to do so.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area at the end of each shift.
• Maintain area per established 6S standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

What We’re Looking For

• Basic understanding of foundry processes, tooling design and construction.
• CAD experience required; Magma experience appreciated.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and GD&T is preferred.
• This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with nondestructive examinations (Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography)
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Knowledge of process mapping and Lean/6 Sigma tools are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field or 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
