    Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking an imaginative and engaging Middle School Art Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year! Our ideal candidates will design engaging and meaningful art experiences that encourage self-expression, creativity, and artistic skill development. This educator will play a key role in helping students explore a wide range of media, techniques, and art history while promoting critical thinking and appreciation for the visual arts. The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate for grades 6-8.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and deliver art instruction aligned with district, state, and national standards for grades 6–8.
    • Create a classroom environment that supports exploration, creativity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
    • Introduce students to a variety of artistic media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
    • Foster connections between art, culture, and other academic disciplines.
    • Manage art materials, equipment, and supplies efficiently and safely.
    • Display and celebrate student artwork in school and community settings.
    • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth.
