Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the warehouse team in daily loading and unloading of commercial washing machines and dryers at our Raritan, NJ facility.
- Coordinate team assignments to ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded efficiently and safely.
- Oversee stacking, moving, and organizing of equipment in the warehouse to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Ensure all team members follow company safety codes, policies, and proper lifting procedures.
- Perform and delegate basic facility maintenance as needed.
- Serve as the communication link between warehouse staff and supervisors, relaying updates, issues, or equipment needs.
- Assist the delivery team in the field when additional support is required.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to new or junior warehouse employees.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Service Manager.
Requirements
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience required; leadership or lead-person experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead by example and foster teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy appliances (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable, safety-minded, and attentive to detail.
