About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Supervisor to lead our team of General Maintenance Operatives and Drivers at the EcoPark. In this key role, you’ll ensure our facilities and estates services run efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, oversee mobile plant and site activities, and work closely with other Supervisors and departments to keep everything running smoothly and in full compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of General Maintenance Operatives and Drivers, providing direction, support, and performance management.
- Manage work allocation through D365, including work orders, PO generation, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Ensure compliance and safety by maintaining accurate records for vehicles, equipment, and plant, reporting defects promptly.
- Oversee resources and administration, including inventory, waste transfer notes, and completion sheets, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide operational cover for the Senior Supervisor and Drivers when required, including use of Kronos for attendance and conducting Return-to-Work interviews.
- Coordinate contractor activities and internal training, ensuring inductions, compliance, and competency assessments are completed.
- Promote a proactive and flexible culture, maintaining audit-ready documentation and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with experience leading or supervising maintenance teams within a facilities or estates environment. If your background is in a similar hands-on or outdoor, shift-based setting, we’d still love to hear from you. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, are essential. A Class 2 licence is desirable, but if you don’t yet have one, we’ll provide full training and cover the cost, helping you gain valuable new experience while supporting our on-site vehicle operations.
You will ideally have the following experience:
- Proven experience in Facilities & Estates maintenance, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively and lead a team to achieve high performance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop others and build positive working relationships.
- Confident using D365 software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant digital tools.
- Holds current licences and certifications for relevant vehicles and mobile plant (LGV Class 2 desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely certification (desirable) and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
