The Team Lead of EAST Haven oversees the day-to-day activities of services provided at EAST Haven including walk-in access to care, crisis stabilization, and clubhouse programming. The role will provide clinical, case management, and peer supervision alongside the oversight of day-to-day activities of their staff to ensure that the service delivery is in compliance with government and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provides supervision to staff and interns for day-to-day activities and to meet licensing/certification requirements, if applicable and appropriate.
- Develops proficiency with the agency’s electronic health record and other required systems to document within the systems in a timely fashion.
- Reviews all assessments, screening tools, intake documentation, discharges, encounter closures, and treatment plans. Reviews charts built by their staff for completeness and accuracy.
- Supports and performs the triage of people who walk-in to EAST Haven, especially if other members of the team are not available, and coordinates activities of staff in providing services to assist with any person who presents for care.
- Meets with people served regularly and to formulate a diagnosis, especially if they are the only licensed professional of the healing arts on site.
- Assists staff in analyzing case problems and improving referrals and linkages.
- Develops and implements program policies and procedures under the guidance of their supervisor and also assists in implementing agency administrative policies. Works collaboratively with their supervisor to ensure that all services are consistent with agency, OMH, OASAS, and CCBHC policies and regulations.
- Assists their supervisor in monitoring program services and progress and works on continuous quality improvement efforts. Supports and runs monthly reports as needed and requested.
- Participates in recruitment and selection of staff.
Trains new employees in areas such as agency policies, department procedures, and agency/funder regulations.
Represents the agency in the community or in interagency activities and represents EAST Haven at agency meetings.
Consults with consulting providers (psychiatrists/nurse practitioners) as needed.
Models and practices sensitivity, fair treatment and respect in all interpersonal interactions. Maintains respect to people served and their families as well as their staff, other employees, students, and contractors.
Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
- Licensed as a Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record
- Experience working in walk-in access or crisis stabilization settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic health records and Microsoft Office 365.
Salary starting at $58,288 - $70,757/year depending on education, credential and experience.
