Job Description
1) Assists with daily problem resolution and procedural improvements.
2) Works closely with Engineering and machine specialists to test and/or investigate methods, materials and equipment for the primary purpose of reducing scrap, operating costs and increasing productivity.
3) Determines needs for, recommends, and when appropriate, instructs and facilitates the training, testing and skill upgrades for machine specialists.
4) Represents American Greetings in meetings with other facilities, plant personnel, vendors and suppliers on technical and production related issues.
5) Works closely with coordinators to implement good safety and housekeeping practices.
6) Maintains inventory of critical parts and materials necessary for production area.
7) Recommends product, material and equipment specifications.
8) Lead and/or participate in team meetings and assignments relating to continuous improvement.
9) This position will fill in for coordinator on all three shifts on an as needed basis.
Location
Experience Required:
• 3 – 5 years Machine Specialist experience will benefit candidate by teaching processes, make-ready and operational skills.. This will aid in becoming proficient in problem resolution and equipment trouble shooting. This requirement may be relaxed if combined with previous technical training / experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Mechanical Proficiency
• Proficient in basic math and analytical skills.
• Good communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in operation and support of Bobst High Speed Hot Stamping and Die Cutting equipment
Position Title
Education Required:
Preferred –Vocational / Technical training school / Military Technical Specialist training / Industrial Technology background.
