Job Description:

Drive top line Smart Residential Sales by managing technology and RF partner integration relationships for all Smart Residential products. Primary activities include developing and managing both new and existing integration partners, working with Engineering leadership in identifying and supporting the development of new technologies both internally and externally that will drive Smart Residential into the future and leading strategic partner development and relationships as required.

 

Organizational Relationships

The V.P. of Technology Alliances reports to the President of the Residential Group and partners with VP of Corporate Development.  In addition, the V.P. will team with Engineering and Product management in addition to other Smart Residential and ASSA ABLOY team members as required to drive growth in the residential market. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technology and RF partnerships while working with engineering and PM leadership to drive partner integration activities
  • Ensure Yale/August Locks are certified/approved on each partner platform
  • Ensure partner certifications are maintained as required for Yale/August Products
  • Work with Sales to find and qualify new RF integration partners on an on-going basis
  • Maintain Integration Partner Matrix and portal
  • Attend/Participate in Alliance Technology Meetings to support Yale/August product technology requirements
  • Work with Engineering and PM leadership to identify and drive PPI Initiatives with both Shared Technologies and iRevo to support Yale Residential product technology needs/requirements
  • Attend industry technology conferences with engineering representation when required to stay aligned with industry technology trends
  • Coordinate with SR Engineering and Product Management to propose new technologies for commercialization to give Smart Residential a competitive product advantage
  • Evaluate and propose new and existing technologies in support of new products to meet specific market segment requirements
  • Lead/Participate in Global Technology Councils to ensure that Yale/August Product and Technology requirements are meet.
  • Coordinate with Engineering leadership to identify and present New Technology Investment Opportunities to Senior Management for funding and development/commercialization.
  • Lead and coordinate with Engineering and PM partner development projects and programs when required
  • Special projects as required
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering and/or Marketing. 
  • 10+ years of Product Management Experience, ideally working with technology and residential products in the US and Globally
  • Excel in team leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must possess strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high energy, multitasking, and results driving work environment
  • Available to travel up to 60% of the time

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $200,000 USD - $352,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
