What You’ll Do
Lead and oversee all aspects of fund accounting and financial reporting for multiple investment structures, including commingled funds, SMAs, and feeder vehicles.
Review and approve capital calls, distributions, management fees, allocations, and performance waterfalls in accordance with governing documents.
Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting, including audit and tax coordination, ensuring accuracy and adherence to U.S. GAAP and partnership agreements.
Serve as a senior liaison to the client’s finance, investor relations, and operations teams, providing insight and oversight on accounting policies, controls, and process enhancements.
Supervise and mentor accounting managers and staff; establish clear priorities and ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy across deliverables.
Partner with internal and client technology teams to support automation, systems improvements, and scalable infrastructure.
Contribute to strategic projects such as fund launches, onboarding of new vehicles, and operational process transformation.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience in private equity, fund-of-funds, or alternative asset management.
Deep understanding of fund structures, capital flows, and partnership accounting principles.
Proven track record managing accounting teams and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical accounting into actionable insights.
Preferred:
CPA designation (active or inactive).
Big Four or fund audit background combined with in-house or fund administration experience.
Experience supporting high-growth investment platforms or complex multi-manager structures.
Familiarity with waterfall models, performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI), and investor-level reporting.
