The Department of Radiology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a Biostatistician to strengthen the research programs within the department and the fMRI Laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Nadia Biassou, PhD.  This position will support the fMRI experiments, including collecting, organizing, and recording experimental data for publication and future reference by others as well as assess results, analyze trends, and apply statistical methodology to complex numerical data. 

Responsibilities

Design surveys and other ways of collecting data. Assess results, analyze trends, apply statistical methodology to complex numerical data. Use statistics to make forecasts and to provide projected figures. Present information in a variety of formats. Collect, organize, and record experimental data for publication and future reference by others.
Prepare reports and manuscripts based on experimental results for both presentation and publication. Attend and participate laboratory meetings and report on relevant issues.  Present results to collaborators and present at scientific conferences. Assist in manuscript writing for publication.  Enter sample tracking and project management data into relational databases. Must be familiar with statistical software such as R, SSPS, Mixed model statistical analyses etc. 

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.  
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.  
Responsible for academic advising and related activities.  
May represent the university, college/school, or department. 

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
