AMT, LLC (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineer Intern to join the engineering team in our Washington, DC office for the 2026 internship period. This is a paid full-time position with an anticipated duration of May through August 2026 (flexible) and has the potential to transition into a Full-Time Role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team leaders, with partnerships with other engineering staff.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team leaders, with partnerships with other engineering staff.
Responsibilities
Support various project tasks, including regulatory requirements/reviews, research, procurement support, etc.;
Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation;
Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients;
May work on engineering field assignments as needed;
May work on survey field assignments as needed;
Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates;
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old;
Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field;
Minimum GPA of 3.0;
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills;
Self-motivated, detail oriented person;
AutoCAD experience is preferred;
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point); and
Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
