As a Project Engineering Coordinator, you will work on project teams in conjunction with Project Engineers on maintenance,
maintenance turnarounds, facility de-bottlenecking, unit revamps, unit upgrades, and grass roots capital projects.

- Assist with the development of project cost estimates, project schedules, and project execution plans.
- Interface with Valero Purchasing, Materials Control, and material suppliers, and verifies accuracy of material orders upon receipt.
- Serve as primary contact between Project Engineers and Maintenance on projects executed for the Maintenance Department.
- Assist Engineering Department with developing cost estimates for annual refinery budget.
- Coordinate field construction activities for projects and expansions with the Project Engineers, Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental and Safety.
- Evaluate, monitor, and maintain QA/QC practices, per Valero specifications and standards, for contractor work forces during the execution of projects and expansions.
- Communicate, audit, and enforce contractor safe work practices and Valero policy during field construction executions.
- Participate in the development and review of construction feasibility, logistics, and project execution plans for coordination between Projects, Operations, Safety, and Maintenance Departments.
- Coordinate construction efforts for multiple projects simultaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule.
- Provide construction coordination support to all refinery departments that will result in safe, efficient, and cost effective installations.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines as established by the refinery.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
