Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who is eager to join a growing organization and tackle diverse, technically challenging work.


In this role, you will lead the implementation of manufacturing processes for new parts and the repair of industrial gas turbine components, ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers. You will collaborate with teams at both the Houston and San Antonio Service Centers to deliver exceptional results. This role will be 100% on-site (San Antonio/Houston) with travel requirements based on divisional operational needs. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic evaluations and justify equipment purchases or upgrades to integrate advanced technology and best-in-class manufacturing practices.
  • Develop precise CNC programs for grinding,  machining, EDM, and CMM inspections to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design innovative tooling solutions to support the repair and manufacture of industrial gas turbine components.
  • Interpret complex technical data, including blueprints, CAD models, and process and material specifications, to guide      manufacturing decisions.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes by improving machine efficiency, reducing cycle times, and enhancing product quality.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, conducting root cause analyses (RCA) to resolve defects and maintain      compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop robust manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and component issues during production to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Create clear, actionable work instructions to  train operators and standardize operational procedures across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • CAD/CAM Expertise: Proficient in SolidWorks, Mastercam, and related software for design and manufacturing applications.
  • Industrial Gas Turbine Components: Experienced  in repair and manufacturing processes, with specialized knowledge in      grinding turbine blades.
  • Inspection & Quality Assurance: Skilled in inspection procedures to ensure compliance with the highest quality  standards for machined and repaired components.
  • Material Processing: Familiar with machining, heat treating, and inspecting nickel-based superalloys, including      understanding their properties and performance characteristics.
  • Technical Tools: Competent in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as MS Project.

Engineering Knowledge:

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering  principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and detailed specifications.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking  abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal  supervision.
