50 % Dramatics Director

Position Overview:
GHS is seeking a passionate and dynamic Dramatics Director to lead our extracurricular theater program. This role includes directing the Fall Play and the Spring One Acts, fostering a creative environment for students to explore their artistic talents and develop their skills in theater production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage all aspects of the Fall Play and Spring One Acts.
• Collaborate with students to develop their acting, directing, and production skills.
• Organize auditions, casting, and rehearsals.
• Create and maintain rehearsal and performance schedules.
• Encourage student involvement in all aspects of theater production, including set design, costumes, and lighting.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes creativity and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
• Attend relevant meetings and coordinate with other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to current GHS teachers.
• Strong background in theater arts, directing, and stage management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students in the art of dramatic expression.
• Experience with high school theater production is highly desirable.

SALARY:  Per extracurricular schedule (Group #10) and experience
