The City of Emeryville, California, is seeking a collaborative and innovative Accounting Manager to oversee the City’s accounting operations and help lead ongoing financial modernization efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen fiscal integrity, advance process improvements, and contribute to the operational excellence of a service-driven organization. The Accounting Manager supervises a team of five staff responsible for all Citywide accounting functions, while serving as a key advisor to the Finance Director and organizational leadership. They play a central role in evaluating and updating financial policies and procedures, modernizing accounting systems, and enhancing transparency and efficiency through data-driven practices.
