What you’ll do:
- Manage appointments: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
- Perform “Gold standard” Intradermal and Serum allergy testing on both canines and felines.
- Intravenous catheter placement, venipuncture, performing biopsies, ear cytology’s, skin scraping/cytology’s, fungal disease testing, and various other laboratory testing.
- Assist with deep ear flushes (middle ear cleaning with video-otoscopy)
- Learn about and utilize various therapeutic diets for canines and felines based on allergic disease.
- Inspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred
- Prior veterinary experience required, previous dermatology experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
