Your role as a RN Weekend Supervisor
As the Weekend Supervisor at Butterfield Trail Village, you will be at the forefront of nursing care and operations within our skilled nursing facility during vital weekend shifts, including Saturday, Sunday, and potential coverage on Fridays or holidays. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care while adhering to all regulatory compliance standards at both the federal and state levels. In this role, you will efficiently manage staffing needs, oversee comprehensive documentation, and maintain clear communication with full-time leadership to ensure seamless operations. What you need to be successful
To excel as a Weekend Supervisor at Butterfield Trail Village, a candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, essential for fostering a cohesive team environment. Proficiency in problem-solving will be critical as you navigate challenges in a skilled nursing facility. A solid understanding of long-term care regulations, the MDS process, and care planning is necessary to ensure compliance and quality resident care. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred, as the role involves extensive documentation and data management.
The ability to work weekend shifts, with availability for callback if needed, is crucial. Additionally, a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas, along with a minimum of 1–3 years of nursing experience—preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility—is required. Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience, along with CPR/BLS certification, will further enhance your qualifications for this pivotal leadership role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Strong leadership communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations MDS process care planning electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to work weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday) and be available for call-back if needed.
- Ability to work in an EHR or EMR.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
- Minimum of 1–3 years nursing experience preferably in long-term care / skilled nursing facility.
- Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
