Job Summary Details:
As an HVAC Technician at ABM Industries, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients' facilities.
 

Pay: $61.16

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation: Install HVAC systems and components, including heating and cooling units, thermostats, air ducts, and refrigeration systems, according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.

- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and testing electrical circuits to ensure optimal system performance.

- Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components. Troubleshoot issues and replace defective parts as needed.

- Testing & Inspection: Conduct tests to ensure proper operation of HVAC systems and compliance with safety and energy efficiency standards. Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues.

- Customer Service: Interact with clients to provide information about system operation, maintenance schedules, and any necessary repairs. Offer professional advice and recommendations for system improvements.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.

- Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies.

 

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school or trade school certification in HVAC preferred.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, with experience in commercial and industrial systems.

- Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608 certification).

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

 

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
